Twin Horizons

Twin Horizons is a photographic inquiry that brings into dialogue two worlds that seem to stand at opposite ends: India and England. Two nations distant in space and time, bound by the history of colonialism, which still continue to mirror one another today—without ever truly touching. The project begins with an observation of form: recurring lines, shadows that resemble each other, everyday gestures that move across different cultures and climates. The photographs are arranged as a reflection: India in color, England in black and white. A choice that is not meant to define a contrast, but to open a passage.

So an English building finds its traces in a house sinking into water; a road in the Asian countryside echoes in the shadows of an English meadow. Photography becomes a silent bridge, where what belongs to one place can also exist in the other. The final creative gesture is left to the viewer: to imagine England with the colors of India, and India with English shadows and greys. To close the gap between two horizons—and make them one.Twin Horizons brings to light what is concrete—differences, distances, histories—and what remains invisible—correspondences, connections, forms that return.

Every horizon can be reflected in another. The rest is in the hands of the viewer.
